When the meditator transcends the mind, he or she starts observing every object or element from consciousness’ point of view. Practiced diligently, meditation brings awareness to dysfunctional patterns of thought and feeling and thereby purifies the mind.
Meditation practice removes identification with the body/mind and allows the meditator to experience the blissful state of pure consciousness.

Along with enlightenment regular practice of meditation brings many other psycho-physical benefits such as increased energy, heightened senses and reactions, strengthened immunity, improved intelligence, creativity, efficiency, power, pleasure, discrimination, dispassion, sense of purpose, peace of mind, expanded awareness, selflessness, compassion and others.
